2021 Looks Like a Great Year for The Orange County Housing Market

Last year was tough for many reasons, but it’s a new year with new opportunities and the Orange County housing market is no expectation. The Forecasts and Predictions are in and 2021 is set to be a hot year for housing here in Orange County. 

The latest Steven Thomas Housing Report is showing that the month of January has been the hottest start to a year since tracking began in 2004. With a record low supply of homes available to purchase and staggering demand, the market is extremely hot.

Buyers have re-emerged from the Coronavirus pandemic, showing a major climb in the demand of new homes. Recent listing and closing statistics are showing a strong recovery for the luxury market. The number of successful closed sales are predicted to increase with mortgage rates remaining low, but showing potential for increase before the end of the year. All in all, the signs are positive for another great year in the Orange County housing market.

The New Year Market May Be The Hottest, Despite COVID-19 

COVID-19 may have initially impacted the amount of time it took to sell a home, but that rapidly changed as the demand soared. So why are buyers flocking to purchase even with home values rising to record levels? Low interest rates are facilitating affordability and propping up demand.
